Mantis~ The creation process of this piece just formed itself, I could feel a very strong presence that was begging to be showcased as the powerhouse that it is! Then he just materialized before me as a really colorful shrimp! I love when working with energy, if you let go of control they just create themselves and share the messages they want to provide for the future owner. I knew he was a powerful little guy but didn't realize until i started to look up different shrimp species that this is the Mantis Shrimp! I'll attach a pic so you see his technicolor beauty and the resemblance that this piece has to him. These shrimp or more accurately called "Stomatopods" have these claws that are more like wrecking ball "fists"! They spring forth from their bodies at 50 mph, accelerating quicker than a .22-caliber bullet. At those speeds, the water surrounding them briefly reaches the temperature of the Sun’s surface.. So the message for this piece is simple, be a badass, don't take any shit and be like the Mantis Shrimp. Even if we are tiny in this big universe, be mighty like the Mantis. The Mantis is also known for its vision which is unparalleled to any other creature on Earth, the mantis shrimp have the most complex set of peepers in the animal kingdom. Each eye contains 12 photoreceptors that allow them to sense different types of color. For comparison, human eyes typically contain three types of light-sensitive cells for seeing red, blue, and green. This has led some to conclude that mantis shrimp perceive the world in a psychedelic rainbow of vibrant color we can’t begin to comprehend! So another message here is to remember to look at everything from every direction you can imagine, and then look again. Because you might catch something beautiful that was right in front of you.
